Large stuffed animals, every child’s dream. Animals of every kind: bears, tigers, lions, zebras, gorillas, polar bears, horses, unicorns, dogs, cats…… anything and everything you can imagine. You will find, all over the web, large stuffed animals at affordable prices. Of all large stuffed animals out there, one of the most fun could be a rocking animal. Large stuffed animals such as elephants, horses, dinosaurs, butterflies, cows, ladybugs, giraffe, sheep, zebra and many others can be found in rocking form! Originally a rocking horse, this concept has been taken further. Wooden rockers have been added to large stuffed animals of all kinds from rocking dinos to rocking sheep but the all time favorite is still the rocking horse. Before the rocking horse, in the middle ages, there was the rocking cradle (still used today). Rocking horses first appeared in the 17th century although they were not large stuffed horses, they were probably made from wood. (The Guinness Book of Records, in 2006, showed the largest hand-carved wooden rocking horse on record – 7 foot 8 inches tall – on which four people can ride at once.)
Another thing that large stuffed animals are used for these days are body pillows – comforting, cuddly, plush and soft – the perfect cushion or pillow for any child OR adult. I have a large stuffed purple flying pony in my granddaughter’s room and I found her napping on it, on the floor, instead of on the bed where I left her. ( I would have loved to own a large toy like that as a child.) Soft toys make every child’s room friendly and welcoming.
It used to be hard to find the large stuffed animals of your dreams outside of the latest state fair or carnival but now, with the internet, they are both available and affordable. There are many large stuffed teddy bears out there tall enough to compete with basketball players when it comes to height – teddy bears that are seven and a half feet tall. When you buy large stuffed animals for people as gifts, you’re buying something for generations to love and enjoy.... |
