Adolph Gund had no children so, in 1925, he sold the company to Jacob Swedlin with the stipulation that the company would ALWAYS be GUND. The company, now over 100 years old, is based in Edison, New Jersey. Today Gund sells over 1500 products but Gund makes more than Gund stuffed animals. The company also makes gifts ranging from bone china to sterling silver but it is still mostly known for the Gund stuffed animals.
